As well as being a year of achievement for Britain’s athletes, 2012 marked some significant events for us at Top Tubes. Here are just a few of them.

“From our gaining of ISO 9001 status at the end of 2011, the last twelve months have been quite momentous for us” says Managing Director Adam Bradley.
The year has seen a lot of changes for the company. In the first quarter of the year Top Tubes Electrical, our electrical conduit division was sold off to Deta Electrical.
The early part of the year also saw the beginning of the work on the installation of a new coil slitting line, part of an extensive £0.6m investment programme.
During the Easter weekend a massive new 25 tonne capacity overhead crane was hoisted into place, to be used for the transfer of heavy coils onto the slitting line. Bringing all slitting facilities onto our main site has resulted in greater flexibility and efficiency. The new slitting line is now processing over 600 tons per week.
Further investment was made into new equipment in early summer when we installed our fourth BLM Adige laser tube cutting machine. 2012 also saw the installation of a Bruderer high speed perforation line and a Mair packaging line – greatly expanding our capabilities.
Our improved planning systems and software mean that we’ve always got an overall view of all current jobs and initiatives such as the Customer Evaluation survey give us an accurate and unbiased response to alert us to any faults or weaknesses in our performance. Also on the quality front, we continue to work towards the environmental ISO 14001 certification and ISO 18000 Health and Safety certificate.

Summing up the year MD Adam Bradley says “All in all it’s been a significant year for Top Tubes and we’re all looking forward to an exciting and rewarding 2013. All our staff and employees have worked incredibly hard throughout 2012 and have helped the company strive for continual improvement. We have significantly improved our service levels to all of our customers and developed an account managed environment always working towards our customers delivery deadlines. I am proud of the team here and on behalf of all of the Top Tubes team we thank you for your continued support and wish all of you a prosperous new year”.
